Who I Am...

Hi, I'm Alan Tobin, strength coach and personal trainer living in Louisville, KY. I have a BS in Exercise Science and a Health & Fitness Specialist Certification from the American College of Sports Medicine. These are nothing more than my "paper credentials", the majority of my training and nutrition knowledge has come from being a sponge for research and ideas...by seeing for myself what reaps results and applying those concepts. My meager running resume includes being a one time college distance runner and having run a 2:32:45 marathon. In 2005 I was the top US Marathoner Runner from the state of Kentucky.

It is my job as an effective coach and trainer to seek out knowledge in the realms of training, strength, & nutrition and to use this information so my clients can meet their goals whether that is to lose 30 pounds for the summer or run under 3:00 in the marathon. My goal is to turn people into the that person they dream about, that goal they reach for on a daily basis. Whether it's an elite runner, marathoner, housewife, or businessman I will find a way for you to reach your goals.

"You can give people the tools for success. However, success is intimidating to those who have never experienced it."

Do you teach strength for weight training too or just for running?

I train weight lifters, runners, all athletes.

I actually stopped competitive running back in November and since that time have put on 20lbs of muscle in less than a year and doubling my Bench and Squat.
